Guard Your Heart Workshop

Why do so many Christian leaders fall into temptation?  Paul, who finished the race well, tells us: Set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity (1 Tim. 4:12). Let’s explore this vitally important topic together on Thursday, Sept. 17, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Davenport Chapel. Join us for Guard Your Heart—an encouraging workshop that empowers ministers and leaders to finish well by equipping them to understand and overcome the temptations they face in a culture where sexual enticement abounds. Spouses are welcome and encouraged to attend. The workshop is led by the Dr. Marty O’Rourke, whose passion is to equip Christian leaders to avoid the pitfalls of moral failure and finish well.  While researching sexual misconduct in the church for his Doctor of Ministry dissertation, he discovered that prevention training of leaders reduces the likelihood of moral failure.
