Responsible For: 56ers, Jr. High and High School Ministries
Reports To: Administrative Pastor (also accountable to the Senior Minister and elders)
Position Overview: The DCC Student Minister is responsible for providing leadership to the DCC Student Ministry which includes the 56ers ministry, Jr. High and High School Ministries. The Student Minister is responsible for recruiting and training volunteers as well as leading Sunday morning and Sunday night programming. The Student Minister also needs to be able to carry out the vision of Delaware Christian Church which is to Experience God, Grow in Faith and Impact the World within the student ministry. Equal focus should be placed on all three aspects of the church's vision. The Student Minister is also expected to plan events, mission trips and support camps. The Student Minister will also be required to fulfill a secondary responsibility based on gifts and abilities.

Attend weekly staff meetings
Attend monthly Leadership Meetings
Meet once a month with the Administrative Pastor Communicate well with the rest of the ministry staff Work with other ministry staff to support all-church events Recruit, interview and train volunteer student leaders Equip the student leaders with the resources to teach and lead the students Encourage and stay in regular communication with the student leaders Use curriculum that is consistent with the core beliefs of Delaware Christian Church Follow up with students and parents when necessary Invest in the lives of the students Visit students in their homes and schools at events such as concerts and sporting events Be active in the summer camp programs in our area and commit to participation in camps Plan, promote and lead Sunday morning and Sunday night programming Plan, promote and lead events, mission trips and service projects Teach the gospel in creative and relevant ways for strong life application
