This is a part-time position that works in conjunction with the Pastor to lead, grow, and challenge people. Compensation will begin at $10,400/yr., with the incentive for more as growth occurs. In the past our youth have met on a bi-weekly basis with adult volunteers. There will be flexibility with this position for vision and building.

The Point began in the fall of 2009, launched by Pastor Gabe Turner. In the past six years, we’ve seen God do tremendous things. In 2011 we launched a second service. Job Requirements/Responsibilities:

  1. Doctrinal position must be aligned with that of Severn Christian Church as presented in the New Testament and as it pertains to the Plan of Salvation.

  3. Must possess excellent written and communication skills.

  7. Responsible for working with the Children’s Ministers in the development of a music program for children at SCC.
  8. Responsible for working with the Youth Minister in the development of a music program for the youth at SCC.
  9. Responsible for the organization and oversight of worship for both Christmas Eve and Easter Sunday services as well as other special church-sponsored events.
  10. Responsible for the oversight and supervision whenever special music is to be performed on Sunday mornings or at other church-sponsored events ensuring that: a) all stakeholders have advanced notice of a special being performed; b) practice time is provided for those performing the special; c) the music selected is fitting for service.
