Full Time Student Minister Job Description

Ministry Description:To challenge, train, and equip students, volunteers, and parents to live genuinely for Christand to reach out to non-Christians. These efforts will involve serving as a key resourceperson and role model in administering, leading, developing, and coordinating all activitiesinvolving students from 6th to 12th grade.

Areas of Responsibility:

• Utilize Planning Center administrative software to handle administrative and organizational processes related to student ministry.

• Participation in staff meetings and other required staff events

• Participation in Elders’ meetings, as required

• Create, submit, and effectively manage student ministry annual budget

• Develop and implement annual strategies to attract a broad and diverse youth group consisting of believers and non-believers

• Develop and implement annual strategies that target the smaller core of more spiritually mature students to lead them to higher levels of spiritual commitment and service

• Utilize regular programming to attract students and build the overall spiritual maturity (weekly students worship, small groups, etc.)

• Build an active presence of student ministry on social media platforms

• Strive to build solid relationships with students by spending time with them in their homes, and/or attending various activities such as athletic events, concerts, etc

• Plan and implement special youth activities throughout the year, involving other congregations as desired

• Recruit, train, and evaluate adult volunteers

• Preach as called upon by the Senior Minister; Be available for funerals and weddings as needed; Be alert for opportunities to evangelize.

Youth Minister

Community Christian Church in Williamston North Carolina is seeking a full-time Youth Minister. CCC is located in Eastern NC. 

CCC is a rural congregation that during COVID is averaging around 125-150. We averaged around 175-185 pre-COVID. 

 CCC is an independent Christian Church. It was founded on the principles of the Restoration Movement. 



  •  Anyone applying for the position of Youth Minster should teach the NT plan of salvation (Hear-Romans 10:17, Believe - John 8:24, Repent - Luke 13:3, Confess - Acts 8:37, Be Baptized - Acts 2:38, Be Faithful - Rev. 2:10). 

  •  A Bachelor’s degree in theology, biblical studies or youth ministry.

  •  Previous youth ministry experience is preferred but not required.

  •  Must have a passion for youth ministry and wishes to grow the youth program at CCC. 

Some of the responsibilities of the Youth Minister are:


Teaching Jr. Church each Sunday Morning. 


Teaching Youth group 6th-12th grade on Sunday Night.


Teaching K-5th on Wednesday Night. 


Planning and preparing VBS each year. 


Organizing summer activities for youth. 


Organizing yearly convention trips.


Organizing summer mission trips.


Preaching when Sr. Minister is away and on Youth Sunday (5th Sunday)


Help maintain website. 


Organize Easter Egg hunt.


Organize Fall Festival 


Organize and lead youth fundraisers


Obtain CDL Class B license for 25 passengers bus


Hold Chapel on Wednesday morning for CCC Childcare Center.


Attend monthly board meetings.


Work with the youth committee.


Keep office hours.


Check in on kids/youth.

East Union Christian Church, Atlanta Indiana is seeking a full-time Youth Minister.  EUCC is a rural congregation of 130-160 average attendance (pre-COVID) located within 15 minutes of several growing populations and multiple school districts.  We are an independent Christian Church founded on the principles of the Restoration Movement (preaching God’s Word, fellowship, partaking of the Lord’s Supper and corporate prayer – Acts 2:42).  We are interested in finding a person with experience, the necessary skills, and a strong desire to disciple all youth and develop a youth ministry.

Dublin Christian Church is located within the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of Southwest Virginia.  Established in 1976, Dublin Christian Church has a passion for reaching people in our neighborhood, community, and world with the Gospel.  Currently the staff is composed of one full time minister.

Job Description

Job Title: Youth Minister 

Reports To: Senior Minister



The Stoneybrook Christian Church Youth Minister is a full time position (40 hrs. week) responsible for the oversight of youth/children's programs at Stoneybrook Christian Church,  ensuring a smoothly operating, safe and effective program.  The Youth Minister’s primary responsibility will be to  lead youth and their families to a closer relationship to Christ, but will be called upon to minister to all people.  This position functions under the guidance of the Senior Minister and the elders of Stoneybrook Christian Church.  This minister will recruit and train volunteer leaders who will touch children’s lives with God’s love, teach them God’s Word and provide fellowship with God’s people – laying a foundation that will keep the youth and children  interested in the things of God and involved in church.

 The successful candidate must be a Christian and fully support the core values of Stoneybrook Christian Church, holding firmly to beliefs consistent with New Testament Christian Churches/Churches of Christ


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Develop and lead Children’s Church program.

  •         Develop and lead a balanced and effective youth and children’s ministry which includes outreach, discipleship, worship, and ministry for youth/children.
  •         Coordinate and oversee the Christian education of youth/children.
  •         Recruit, lead, and equip  volunteers for youth programs. As it is a sponsor-based program,the success of the program hinges on the minister’s ability to equip and lead          volunteers.
  •         Work with and lead the Youth Ministry Team.
  •         Develope, promote and implement  weekly and seasonal programs and activities (such as VBS, children’s Christmas programs, children’s church, times of fellowship, Bible College tours & trips, mission trips, etc
  •         Work with the Senior Minister and Elders in setting goals for evaluating the youth and children’s ministry, facilities, and resources.
  •         Work with the families  – providing counsel and/or programs to assist in family related issues.
  •         Keep regular office hours
  •         Help with general office work
  •         Fill Pulpit when needed
  •         Participate in staff meetings as necessary.
  •         Perform staff responsibilities not covered by the job description, but necessary, in keeping with the oversight of the Elders and Senior Minister, to keep the overall ministry of Stoneybrook Christian Church operating efficiently and effective

  • Graduated from or attended a New Testament Bible College

  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from parents, staff or congregation; as well as the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, or oral form.
  • Ability to deal with problems efficiently and effectively while maintaining good working relationships. 
  • The ability to work efficiently and effectively in team situations
  • Ability to work independently. 
  • Possess solid time management skills and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to coordinate several activities at once and to quickly analyze and resolve specific problems . 

Ability to communicate and establish effective working relationships with all levels of people, conveying a genuine concern for their needs and a desire to provide exceptional service.
