Christ’s Church (Winterville, NC) is taking resumes for the position of youth minister. We are a church of 400 needing a full-time youth minister to work with young people from 6th to 12th grade.  Those applying must believe in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior and that the bible is the Word of God.  Candidates should have good organizational and team building skills.   Candidates should have several years of experience and be fully grounded doctrinally in Christian Church doctrine and have a passion for youth ministry.

Part Time Youth Minister

Position:     Winifred Road Church of Christ part-time Youth Minister.  

 

Responsibilities:

-Work primarily with grades 6-12 in teaching and spiritual guidance.

          -Oversee and administrate Jr. Church ministry.

-Develop, equip, and guide a youth ministry team.

-Help facilitate young adult ministry.

     -Community interaction, visits, conferences, camp, concerts, mission, etc

     -Assist preaching minister in calling, preaching, planning + administration

-Participate in our Kids for Christ child evangelism program.

 

Requirements:    

          -Man with Bachelor’s degree from a Restoration Movement college.

          -Lover of Jesus and His Word, Team player, self-motivator, servant leader   

          -Evangelistic mindset,  has a desire for preaching and missions.

-Computer and tech skills would be a wonderful help, but not required.

-Maintain regular office hours while allowing for “out of office” ministry.

-Be accountable to preaching minister as supervisor with elder oversight.

Package:    -Part time ministry   (4 days per week)   $20,000 per year

-1 week accrued vacation for each 6 months worked.   (until cap)

High School Minister

Position: High School Minister

                 

Principal Function of the Position:

The Student Minister equips, trains, and ministers to 9-12 grade students and their families. This includes teaching practical and Biblical messages, counseling students/families through crises and everyday situations, planning events and trips that equip students with a stronger faith, and communicating vision to families.

Qualifications for the Position:

  • Management skills
  • Recruitment skills
  • Basic counseling skills
  • Moderate communication skills
  • Moderate amount of Biblical training
  • Experience with students and parents

Requirements of the Position:

  1. 1.       Teaching & Preparation                                                                                                (15 hours)
    1. a.      Writing Elevate messages (including research) 
    2. b.      Writing & preparing Illuminate lessons for leaders 
    3. c.       Preparing videos, PowerPoint presentations, and ProPresenter schedules
    4. d.      Prepare small group curriculum for Wednesday nights

 

  1. 2.       Counseling/Meeting With Students & Parents                                    (10 hours)
    1. a.      Weekly relational contacts with students
    2. b.      Counseling students/families in need of help

 

  1. 3.       Meeting/Communicating with the Volunteer Team                          (5 hours)
    1. a.      Weekly emailing Wednesday and Sunday sponsors

    1. a.      Making phone calls and emails regarding HSM events/trips

Youth Pastor

Youth Pastor - Warwick Baptist Church, Hobbsville, NC (Northeastern NC)

 

 

 

Our purpose: is to be disciples who make disciples who go on to make more disciples.

 

We are seeking a God focused man or couple with a desire to make disciples of teenagers (Grades 7-12) and their families. We desire a man/couple who:

  • can effectively teach, share, and model the Gospel..
  • can effectively work through challenging issues and struggles that teenagers face and offer them biblical solutions and counsel…
  • can encourage & love people with a servant’s heart..
  • can demonstrate and model Chris-likeness in their behavior through a serious, consistent, disciplined, and committed walk with God..
  • can inspire teenagers to mature and to seek a deeper relationship with Christ…

 

About Us:

We currently have 13 active in our youth group and about 5 that have not been active. We average about 110 for worship on Sunday and have a blended style of worship. We employ a part time secretary and a full time Pastor. We recently installed new technology equipment and developed a website (www.warwickbaptistlife.com). We are a friendly, unified, and biblically oriented congregation.

 

This is a part-time position that works in conjunction with the Pastor to lead, grow, and challenge people. Compensation will begin at $10,400/yr., with the incentive for more as growth occurs. In the past our youth have met on a bi-weekly basis with adult volunteers. There will be flexibility with this position for vision and building.

 

 

Requirements:

  • Must be a follower of Jesus who has an evident personal relationship with Jesus.
  • Must be flexible and willing to be involved in church life and recruit youth workers.
  • Must be willing to get involved in the life of teens and cultivate meaningful relationships with them and their families.
  • Must be willing to plan, coordinate, and provide the logistics of youth ministry activities, events, and mission trips away from our campus.
  • Must be motivated, energetic, organized, and willing to learn yet mature enough to lead.
  • Must have some ministry experience working with teenagers.
